Life's Lesson from a Dying Man
Randy Pausch Last Lecture:
Fundamentals & Hard Work
"when you're screwing up and nobody's saying anything to you anymore, that means they gave up"
"Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you want."
Brick walls are there for a reason: they let us prove how badly we want things
Wait long enough and people will surprise and impress you
Never lose the child-like wonder
Help others
Loyalty is a two way street
When it comes to men that are romantically interested in you it's really simple. Just ignore everything they say and pay attention to everything they do.
Never give up
How to get people to help you:
- tell the truth
- be earnest
- apologize when you screw up
- focus on others, not yourself
Brick walls let us show our dedication
Don't bail: the best gold is at the bottom of the barrels of crap
Get a feedback loop and listen to it
Do the right thing
Show gratitude
Don't complain; just work harder
Be good at something; it makes you valuable
Work hard
Find the best in everybody no matter how long you have to wait for them to show it
Be prepare: "luck" is where preparation meets opportunity
No one is all evil
Lead your life the right way and karma will lead itself

First Entry
After reading other people's blog I have decided to start one of my own. I can't promise it to be as entertaining as so many talented bloggers out there but you will get to see a side of me that no one else has seen. Somehow it seem so much more liberating to write anything you want when you are anonymous and there is no one to judge you. Welcome to my world.
